The salary for a starting physiotherapist varies, but is always around €5000. The reason for variation is because it also depends on which province, also known as "Kanton", you would live. This is partly because, there are different taxations per Kanton. During our meeting you will be clearly informed about all the factors that come into play.
Usually you will receive a 13th month bonus at the end of each year. You will also receive a minimum of 20 days of paid vacation per year. The contracts are very good, for instance a fixed salary instead of per patient.

Costs of living
As a physio in Switzerland you should think of 3 main points when you decide to live here:
1. Taxes
You pay taxes on three levels, federal, provincal and communal. This looks like a lot, but it depends on the numbers and what province you live. There is a reason after all, why Switzerland is a tax haven!
2. Insurances
Health & accident insurance. Swiss healthcare is of high quality and as such you pay for it. The cheapest will be around a premium of €170 per month, which is fair considering the salary.
3. Country and SRK registration
To work as an acknowledged physio you need to register with the Swiss Red Cross and a "Auffenthaltsbewilligung". For the first you will also need a level B2 German certificate. This will be quite easy, because we physios have to speak to our patients all day.
*More specifics on everything, will be explained during our conversation

Housing
Housing is a main point as well, but deserves its own section. As a general rule, the rent for an appartement, should be around 1/3rd of your salary. There are enough appartements or studios that will accommodate that price.
That being said, there are always cheaper exceptions, such as a WG(Wohngemeinschaft).
This is a room in an appartement or house that you share with other expats or young professionals. This way you can already get to know other people and save money.
If you come here with your partner or with a couple of friends, it can become even less expensive.

Team and mission
We take care of our physios, because we are physios

Something about me? I am a physio too! And because I am one, I firmly believe that physios should have the same opportunity I had, but without all the obstacles. That is why PHYSIOHEADHUNTER was founded. I am proud to be a specialized headhunter company that only focuses on physios. Because of this specific focus, passion and knowledge, my services are of the highest quality. My adventure in Switzerland has enabled me to wander around some of the most beautiful mountains, swim in the most beautiful lakes and become a better physio. I learned a lot and developed myself in many ways. I also met a lot of awesome people and great physios in Switzerland who had the same difficulties getting here.
And that's why we take care of our physios, because we are physios.
